(47,535 posts)I did notice that Kopitar was the European captain and Gaborik scored the game-winning goal against Jonathan Quick when Europe beat the USA 3-0.

(29,322 posts)Against the Czech Republic. That was the first full game I watched. Caught a little bit of the first period last night before the Minnesota/Green Bay game where North America scored an early goal.

I thought Team NA would surprise everyone, and they have not disappointed me. There's a hell of a lot of talent on that team. The only thing I hate about their existence is that it hurt Team USA. They could have used guys like Eichel and Matthews. Although, if they still had Torterella as coach, it might not matter. He is awful. What the hell was USA Hockey thinking when they hired him???
