Related: About this forumYankees set new MLB single season home run record with 265th
Home run history was made Saturday afternoon at Fenway Park.
In the fourth inning Saturday (NYY 8, BOS 5), rookie infielder Gleyber Torres swatted a two-run home run against Eduardo Rodriguez, giving the Yankees a whopping 265 home runs on the season. That is the most home runs in a single season in MLB history. Giancarlo Stanton added the team's 266th homer a little later for good measure.

For the Yankee haters, watch Giocarlo Stanton get hit by his own home run ball when a fan throws it back into the infield...

(664 posts)1. As far as I am concerned, the 2018 Yankees are an utter failure...
They should have completed the season as undefeated with that line-up of heavy hitters and awesome bullpen...
What went WRONG?

Will be interesting to see if the Yanks can beat the As in the wild card game.

(664 posts)5. Na-unh! On paper, this Yankees lineup is the most productive
in the history of baseball. Their starting pitching is MORE than adequate and don't they still have Aroldis Chapman?
They should be UNDEFEATED I tells you! 173 - 0...
The Yankees are straight up garbage!

Let's see what he can do at the plate first, Brother Buzz (and NO, he's not as good as Tim Tebow, so stop!!!)
