(4,905 posts)There were calls blown on both sides that affected the game. The face mask on Goff that would have given them first and goal on the 1 never gets talked about when Saints fans whine. And the Saints did get a redo. They won the flip in OT. And they couldn't even make a field goal.
Was that blown interference call a bad one? Yes. Was it the only one in that game? Not by a long shot. Was it a conspiracy to put and LA team in the SB? Come on. (I realize you didn't claim that, but I'm seeing that here on DU and a lot of places, so thought I'd toss it in.)

(49,533 posts)about officiating mistakes in an NFCCG. The team whose coach was suspended for a year for having a bounty program? The team that benefited from THREE officiating mistakes on their game-winning FG drive in overtime in the 2009 game? That team? Give me a fucking break.
This is hilarious to me as Cardinals fan. No one would demand action if Arizona was involved.

Entertainment.
Everyone agreed to play by the same rules...and under what context a play can be reversed.
This was not one of them.
Seven guys were wearing stripedy shirts. Not one of them saw something convincing enough to pull out the yellow hanky.
Mere humans do not have the tools of recall, mixed angles, and slow motion. Review of every play is not practical.
This is life. Some people get cancer. Some people get struck by lightning. In this case, four dozen millionaires don't get to play a game for a chance to eat hamburders with an orange racist.
Chill. Find a good book.

(10,565 posts)is to see it didn't? It will be a tainted victory if the Rams win. I'm an avid Titans fan with no dog in the hunt but I have very low interest in this game.

(49,533 posts)The one who wasn't, missed it.
Just like the one whose job it is to catch the facemask by the Saints defender earlier in the game also missed it.
