He may be a great golfer but he’s a cheater and liar. Not a great role model.

After his wife found out about all his screwing around, she chased him from their home with a golf club. As he was fleeing he shouted back to her "You've ruined our Thanksgiving!" Contemptible, self absorbed prick. Just like his golfing buddy.

Michael Jordan was there to play with President Obama, but not Trump.

I think that it is more than being friendly to Trump. There could not be two more different playing partners for a person than Trump and President Obama.

Remember that Tiger has golfed with several of the former presidents including Mr. Obama.

His golf game is beyond amazing and his greatness IN THE SPORT will only increase with time.

Having written that, he's not an admirable man in the way he's lived his personal life. While I'm certain he's made significant changes in his behavior and attitudes, his hypocrisy was blatantly on display when he crashed his car on that fateful Thanksgiving a number of years ago.

Nonetheless, I don't look to athletes or celebrities for my moral guidance. But I do enjoy watching profound greatness in sports, the arts and the sciences. After all, there are a lot of dirt-bags in all parts of life. Personal behavior doesn't necessarily erase brilliant professional work.

He is unarguably one of the five greatest golfers in history. With the confidence that this major win could give him, Tiger could be poised to take off again.

Consider that when he played the U.S. Open at Bethpage in 2002, he was the only player in the field to break par for the week. He is clearly a front-runner for this year's PGA Championship at Bethpage next month.

As I wrote elsewhere, suddenly, Jack has started to sweat a little once again...

He had two wins last year including the very big Tour Championship, and was close in two Majors last year. He is an emotional, streaky player, you may be right, this big win may have opened a floodgate of big wins for him. My guess is he is good for another 3-5 years based upon how he looks physically.

Yes, it looks like he's finally conquered his health issues -- just walking the greens, he looked half his age.

People who call themselves Tiger Woods fans very often don't seem to be golf fans, although they apparently think otherwise. They are just Tiger fans and if he was, for example, a curler, they would watch that instead of golf.

I can't count the number of times I've seen the following statement about golf on social media: "Tiger's not playing, so I'm not watching." Does that sound like the statement of a golf fan? People who are in it only for Tiger have totally turned me off to the point that I rarely watch PGA Tour events any more.

By Dec. 11, 2009, two weeks after Woods’ accident, the number of known mistresses was up to 14. He lost endorsements with Nike, Gatorade, Gillette and Accenture — the latter alone earning him between $10?million and $15 million a year. He announced he was taking a leave from golf and on Nov. 30, he pulled out of the Chevron World Challenge.

By the end of the month, Woods had entered rehab for sex addiction.

Nordegren used the time to renegotiate her prenup and mull her marriage. The day after the accident, Woods had reportedly told a friend that Nordegren had “gone ghetto” on him and that he needed to “run to Zales and get a Kobe special — a house on a finger,” referring to caught-cheating NBA star Kobe Bryant’s gift to his wife.

SNIP

Woods reportedly confessed to sleeping with 120 women, but sources close to Nordegren say she remained on the fence about leaving him until April 2010, when a 15th mistress was revealed. Her name was Raychel Coudriet. She was a daughter of the couple next door and first met Woods when she was only 14.

BTW, let me add that while I don't necessarily believe this entire Post article, there's enough evidence to convince that Woods and his team methodically planned affair after affair. These were no fly-by-night romps.

So why does Woods deserve a pass? There's no adulation here.
