Patrick Mahomes Avoids Ligament Damage in Knee Injury; Absence to Be 'Brief'

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has officially been diagnosed with a dislocated kneecap after undergoing an MRI on Friday, according to Ian Rapoport and James Palmer of NFL Network.

Rapoport noted Mahomes' absence is expected to be "brief" after the MRI revealed no "significant additional damage" to the signal-caller's knee. Mahomes will reportedly seek additional opinions as he looks to determine the proper course of action for recovery.

Mahomes was injured five minutes into the second quarter of Thursday night's game against the Denver Broncos while picking up a first down on a quarterback sneak on 4th-and-1. He was taken to the locker room and immediately ruled out with a right knee injury.

Having said that I dislocated my right kneecap three times, with no real issue other than swelling and some soreness and stiffness. The forth time my quadriceps tendon ruptured (the same injury Bill Clinton had when he fell down some stairs). That injury is a bitch to recover from.

Last nights game was an embarrassment for the donkeys and worse for Mahomes. This Bronco fan has tons of respect for his talent and wish him a long and prosperous career.

The most notable team I dislike goes by the initials of Dallas Cowboys mostly due to their owner and that America's team BS. In my NFL world, I root for the team, then division, then if they are in the western US or not. So this donkey boy roots for the AFC West, then teams like the Seahawks, Rams or Cardinals.

In front of all that is what kind of person the player is. Do they work hard, play clean, keep their head down, show humility? That's number one in my book. I don't have much use for the pouty, big-headed egos and/or dirty Antonio Browns, Cam Newtons, Richie Icognitos, Terrell Owens and Ochocincos, etc. of the world, no matter how talented they may be.

Anyway and thankfully, it looks like Mr. Mahomes will be back soon enough wreaking mayhem and causing grief to their opponents.
