They don't care about the money, the crowds, or the TV deal. I wouldn't be surprised if the PGA Tour cancelled the tournament and they held it anyway (no, I don't think the PGA will cancel it, but if they did, I wouldn't be surprised if they held it anyway as a non-tour event).

Well, this didn’t age well for me.
