I have a just for fun question for my fellow tennis fans,

Who do you thing may/will win the singles championships at the US Open?

At this midway point my picks would be Jennifer Brady for the women and Stefanos Tsitsipas for the men.

No need for you to explain because I ask the question for the sheer unvarnished hell of it.

I definitely think that we're seeing the torch being passed to the new generation of champions. Thanks for reading and for any comments.

I will go with Osaka, even with her injury. I would like for Williams to win it all.

Would like for any of the Canadian men to win it, but Djokovic is looking very tough. I also wouldn't mind seeing Thiem win it all.

I have to admire Djokovic for spending a lot of time negotiating on the day he had a match (and probably on other days) to help male players who might have been kept from playing due to their contact with Bernard Paire. He doesn't get enough credit for the work he donates to representing players (per my favorite Gilles Simon, who also has been a player rep).

Pardon me while I go pull my head out of my posterior. I think that between his young age and his high level of play recently there is a slam victory in his future. Of course, that isn't a guarantee...Genie Bouchard, for example.

Win or lose, I really like Jennifer Brady.

GOAT imho and piss on religious bigot Margaret Court's 24 instead of Serena's 23. In fact, let's just say piss on Margaret Court.

Hope she will be OK. She walked off the court but it looked bad. What a shame all around.
