I've watched it several times to figure out where the winner was at various stages. Toward the he was on the inside but blocked by a black horse so the jockey pulled him to the outside of the black horse and after that the winner had a clear path to victory. Great race.

sight after the slow down...the first escort had to let go to get out of the way... a second escort tried to help, but couldn't get near the hyper horse. I hope he doesn't act like that with the people who work with him on a daily basis. There's a cure for that kind of behavior...
