Jeering of US anthem at Tampa/Toronto NHL playoff game

So, I tuned in a little while ago to catch game 7 between these two teams. Tampa has won the last two Stanley Cups, so I'd prefer they be dispatched to let some fresh blood in. Regardless, the young woman who handles the anthem duties in Toronto launched into the US anthem. There was loud jeering/booing throughout the anthem. The whole crowd didn't join in, mind you, but enough so that it was fairly loud and impossible to ignore. They did applaud politely at the end to recognize her efforts.

So, what if any reaction do you have to that? Does it make you angry to hear such disrespect, or do you not care? Is it a natural reaction given the current state of affairs in this country, or does it cross a line of decorum? If you're Canadian, how does it make you feel to see the Toronto fans react that way?

It's a stupid song and it's embarrassing that it's played before sporting events.

I also am no fan of the pledge of allegiance.

Boo the Lightning during their warm-up skate. Jeer the Tampa players whenever they touch the puck.

But there's no need for blatant disrespect of another country's anthem.

And won’t be hearing the anthem in Scotiabank Arena any more this year. Not a Lightning fan, but they showed up for game 7 and the Leafs crumbled again.

Now as for praying at the 50 yard line, or third base line or free throw line at the end of a game... now I can get behind that.

Settle down, Agnes. Its sarcasm.
