I'm originally from New England, so I do miss the winters a bit.

Finally got back on the bike. In fact a new bike. I was able to get a Lynskey R240 titanium frame and fork for a much reduced price. Fellow bought it with the intent to build it but life got in the way. It is the perfect size for me. I was having a problem getting the crank gearing I wanted 52tx36, and one thing led to another. I was going for Ultegra 8000 groupset but I bought 8050 which is Di2 electronic shifting. This bike is amazing.

I was way out of shape when I first got it up and running. Compared to my Cannondale Alloy Synapse it is a sports car compared to a sedan. I can turn sharper and at higher speeds.

I have always done my on fitting but I gave in and had a professional fit done last Tuesday. I was interviewed, the bike measured, me measured on a table, did some walking away and towards the fitter and more. I sat on a bench to check my sit bone width-my saddle was too narrow. Saddle height and position was off. I knew fore/aft was but was surprized that the saddle had to be raised a bit better than 2 cm. Several videos were taken with cameras front and side. The fitter adjusted my cleats and at the end to straighten my leg line put orthotics in my shoes.

It took a couple of rides to get used to it, but WOW! is it a super improvement.

But I'm confused, what is your front and back gear tooth count?

That's what the 2 black zip ties are for. Under the stem is the A junction box for the Di2. It is the brains of the whole operation. It knows which lever switch is operated and which derailleur to move and when the rear is shifted to auto trim the front. Pretty slick.

As to the chain I run it through a rag and use a ceramic dry wax lube. That way the chain stays reasonably clean. If it is wet I do have a ceramic wet wax lube.

Tires very mushy after a winter's inactivity -- probably firm enough that I could have safely ridden a mile to the bike shop with an air hose, but I decided I might as well use my own floor pump. Which was not where I thought I'd left it. So I returned to KJing on DU.

As the temperature rose, I wanted to reactivate my beloved Tevas. In looking for them I found the bike pump. So re-inflate the tires, off to the bike shop for a tuneup (I do almost none of my own work), and picked it up today. Now I can make and break resolutions about riding.

And I still haven't found the damn Tevas.
