What kind of birds are these? They look to be about the size of a grackle, but the feathers don't look "shiny". We get the Boat Tail grackles around here. They are very noisy and have a funny squeaky hinge type call.

How big are cowbirds compared to grackles, smaller, right? Too small for crows or ravens. That exhausts my knowledge without digging out some bird books. Let me know if you find out. Take care!

Crows caw and purr, ravens croak and scream bloody murder. Now I'm not sure what I was hearing!
