My dad worked at HJ Heinz on the Allegheny.

(16,925 posts)is just down from "The Waterfront" - the Homestead area where a mill once stood - now a big shopping and entertainment complex.
There's also another nest just up the Allegheny across from Oakmont (near where the purple bridge used to be - now gone) on the cliff above Rt. 28. That nest has been active for a few years now. They had a camera on it 2 years ago and then a storm blew down the nest. The eagles built another one nearby but I don't know if they'll cover it with a camera this year.
