1. Yay!

Wonderful news!

Our poor Iris had her eggs stolen by a raven...second year in a row, darn it. Biologists say that they weren’t viable but I was still sad for her. She’s 24 years old! I hope she gets another chance at hatching chicks. She is still actively using g her nest...she’s there now!

2. Very sad about Iris' eggs; she was the first osprey I viewed,

THEN I got 'into' mine, and this is the 2d time (in my 7 years here) there have been triplets!!!

3. They're such incredible birds...and triplets?? Wow.

My kiddo was fishing the creek near our house a couple weeks ago...it is a medium sized creek that is quite fast moving that runs out of the Rattlesnake Wilderness...he was casting his fly rod and an osprey hit the water right in front of him grabbing a cutthroat trout!! The splash from the osprey hit him it was so close. He said it was breathtaking.
