Walleye
(31,008 posts)1. I like that image. Is that a great blue Heron?

and as I tried to move to different spot, s/he flew off, of course. Would be really good, but for focusing.
Walleye
(31,008 posts)3. Still I like the ghostly feel of it.
I love great blue Heron. When I was in a little girl I was walking with my grandfather on the Cape Henlopen beach. A little ways up on a point a great blue heron was standing. About as tall as I was. He told me what it was and Ive never forgotten that image in my mind. They were going through a decline back then and much more rare, so Im so happy to see them plentiful again. It was my grandfather gave me the love of birds, he identified them for me when we were out walking, and he had the Audubon books up in hid den. I grew up in Kent County, Delaware
