I had baby wrens hatch in a potting soil bag on my porch this week. They left and haven’t been back. We had some wicked bad storms last night. I hope they’re okay.

garage light. These robins have been coming here for at least 10 years or so (they and their descendants). I have red birds too (cardinals) that come back too. It's nice to see, and it's a rite of winter coming to an end (STLMO). I haven't seen the woodpecker yet, there's an old dead tree that they left up (a single stump) that they love and I love hearing them peck away on it, tap tap tap, tap tap tap. It's refreshing and relaxing to hear.

Every time I see those damn geese on the osprey's nest. I worry the osprey's will not
have time to make a good nest somewhere other than on top of an owl nest box which is not fit for the job.
If they can't lay their eggs soon they might not be able to raise a family this year.

I'm happy to SEE them, at least, and today's pics, caught them both together. (Posted on another thread.) They really are a PAIR!

*Just spoke with my neighbor/landlord, who said they appear to be doing 'something' on a tree along the path (a bit south of here.) Neighbor determined to keep this goose thing from happening again next year.
