This will sound nuts, but I think Washington should consider signing Tebow

Before I get flamed:

1) Tebow is not RGIII - this much I already know
2) Tebow does not have a great arm or great throwing mechanics - I know this, too.

-but-

3) Tebow should be available cheap (the Jets may outright cut him)
4) Tebow is an option guy, and I think he could hand off to Morris and run out of the read-option passably. The question is then whether he could get the ball to any of the receivers. This means that the playbook might not have to be substantially rewritten from what they have now.
5) I'm not suggesting Tebow as a replacement for Cousins. On the contrary, I'm suggesting releasing Grossman. Rex isn't doing anything for the team at this point.

that college careers and Heisman Trophies aren't everything...

Personally, if I were a coach or owner in the NFL, I would hire him as a TE. Maybe even a TE who could do trick plays like passing to another receiver occasionally.

But if he would play TE, he could do so while also filling the #3 QB spot on the roster.
