Item about Georgia's victory that will likely be overlooked:

their pass rush was constant and effective in the second half. It kept Bryce Young off balance, disrupted his footwork, hurried his throws, and got into his head. How many times have we seen leads blown because a defense played prevent with a late lead? Pros, college -- too many to count. Kudos to the Bulldogs for keeping the pressure on Young. Well played.

But because of the heavier pass coverage, Bryce Young had to hold onto the ball longer giving those rushers more time to disrupt him.

on the clock. A quick strike for a touchdown followed by a successful onside kick and another quick strike potentially wins the game. That stuff has happened before, and GA was playing the Heisman winner. Plus AL had all three timeouts. Still glad GA won.

Rarely in my life have I wanted GA to win a game, unless it helped FL's chances, but this time I'm ok with them winning. They truly had a ferocious defense and it was time for Saban to lose one. After this, it's back to wanting them to lose every game. A lot of my dads' ways never rubbed off on me, especially with politics & religion, but with football, we were aligned. It was our thing.
