Damn, Steam DL is slow

I have about 10 mbps (paying for 25...), chose the best settings (as far as I could tell after googling it) and closest DL region, but still getting 600+ KB/s a best, sometimes as low as 200 KB/s.

An estimated 12 hrs to DL Rage? Is it always like this? As it's nearly at 30% right now I'll just let it continue to DL in the background, I guess...

And yes, I'm new at this Steam thing

1. try Origin

took me close to a day to download Dragon age: origins.

It took me forever for Mass Effect 2

2. Rage is ridiculous huge.

It took me about that long to install it on my PS3 and I had the damn disc, lol.

3. 68+ gigs of free HD space needed for install on PC, apparently.

HD space isn't a issue, but now that's it's finally downloaded Rage won't run, of course. I've got a support ticket on it, so we'll see. Can probably work it out by myself somehow, but I'd rather not have to

5. My Steam downloads have been fairly quick, but Rage may be a really big

game. The biggest games I have downloaded are Amnesia and the Penumbra series.
