For that matter, Fish is also an ass but at least he's creative and an ass. Beer contributes nothing but his vitriol really.

I suspect though this has more to do with Phil Fish's fatigue (in terms of being "over" game-design) over his well-documented long-running complications and inability to deal with the bureaucracy of Microsoft. Lest we forget, they're the ones that tried to charge him $8K for the right to patch his own game that they broke when they ported it to Xbox. I'm sure the last thing he wants to discuss with anybody, least of all a blowhard like Marcus Beer, is Microsoft's increasingly-pointlessly-complex policies on indie game design which seem designed solely to abuse and infuriate designers like Phil Fish.

That'd be like sticking a microphone in someone's face and asking them about the new "speed up for pets in the street" policy of the guy that hit their dog last year.

but the move seemed childish - especially for a game that he dumped resources and time into.

There is no doubt Microsoft sucks, but he seems to be a bit overly dramatic as well.
