Well folks...I finally joined the MMORPG Universe today....

I downloaded the DC Universe package on the PS3(massive file, took almost 41hrs) and I have officially joined the time suck known as MMORPG. I put in a couple of hours this morning, and I love it. I'm a Superman Template character named Haidael...

How much does the original download cost?

Can you fly?

Are there different sides; e.g., heroes and villains? If so, what side did you pick?

Do you loose your character when it dies?

Does your character have a special weakness?

its around 14.8 gigs, yes I can fly around, the world is pretty big. The flying mechanic is decent(it was a bit better in Superman Returns) and so far I haven't put enough time in to unlock other skills, or Iconic Powers(most of these appear to be available after level 10).

There are heroes and villians, and I picked heroes.

You don't lose your character when you die, you take an 11 second breather, and then you re-spawn in what appears to be a safe zone.

So far, I don't appear to have any special weaknesses, so far I'm dying because I'm getting gang jumped by a lot of Gorrilla's.

I checked out the market place, and you can pay for extra's, like DLC packs like the Green Lantern pack, or Flash pack, and there are other perks you can get, for example you can get options to change character, or have another slot for another character.

The thing I regret isn't putting more time into character creation, I figured I could change my look/clothes later on, but it appears I can't unless I buy that particular perk(looks like it costs 5 bucks), so my character looks pretty plain jane.

I just did not want to waste the time if there was nothing to do in the free part of it... Does there seem to be a decent amount of game to play?

I'm still doing the Gorrila Grodd arc, in the second set of enemies(first was Brainiac drones), and there are a lot of levels so far on the Grodd part, at least 10plus objectives, which to me are hard to do. In the set of missions I have done I have died at least 20 times, its hard, but not mind numbingly/piss you off hard, and the world is open but the only drawback to that is the city has different sets of enemies, for your different missions in the future. For example I was goofing off yesterday, and I fly over the bridge and saw some Brainiac drones, I fought them in my first level, so I thought I'd go down and kick ass...When I landed I got swarmed and barely lasted 3 seconds...so essentially the city is split into different areas, with varying strong/weak enemies so you have to watch it a bit if you go exploring in an area that isn't your current objective.
