Helsinki tourism rebounding despite war, pandemic
The war in Ukraine and ongoing pandemic are not deterring travellers from visiting the Finnish capital.

Hotel occupancy rates in Helsinki rose significantly in March, which is typically an off-peak month.
While still not close to pre-pandemic levels, occupancy at capital region hotels climbed to 40 percent in March, nearing rates seen last summer.
Preliminary figures meanwhile show that some 838,580 passengers came through Helsinki Airport in March, an increase of 228,000 travellers since February.
