I'm sure this little dude's rodent daddy had something to do with his "lie".

Are believers going to say he's lying now? Has he been taken over by SATAN ??

5. People can believe what they want but I thought it was a scam.

That is not to say I believe all near death experiences are bunk.

8. Rodent? Consider for a moment that he was a child who may have

been manipulated by adults looking for a way to make a buck off him.

And then consider giving him credit for coming clean and telling the truth.

21. Oh completely changing the wording to apply rodent to his dad instead of him

is not withdrawing it? My bad.

So you stand by calling the kid a rodent, just wanted to changed the wording so it didn't actually say that.

Odd.

15. I hate when children are used like this, taking NDE and trying to use...

what amounts to oxygen deprived hallucinations/dreams to prop up religious beliefs. Oh, and then try to profit off of it, and who suffers the most? The children who are exploited by the adults around them.

22. No surprises here! Let's get this straight A young boy lied about something we all know is false!

The only surprise, is that some people would have believed it in the first place!

23. I agree with you. I think he was used, but that's another story.

Believing this is similar to believing in creationism. There is nothing to support it as valid and much to argue against it.

If this ever actually happened, it wouldn't be the stuff of a book like this.

Sad, all the way around.

30. the boy did not lie

he was 6 years old at the time this happened. His father lied. Let me repeat that. His father lied. Then his father kept the proceeds for himself. His father biked fools out of their money because it "proved" to them what they wanted to believe. His father lined his own pockets fat the expense of his child's welfare.

I am sure as a 6 year old he described his experience as best as he could with his limited verbal skills. His father took advantage of him. Give the kid some credit as soon as he was old enough to start to understand what really happened he started to contradict the claims the father made. It is sad that it has taken so much time for the media to catch on. But then again, what the kid is now saying directly contradicts the narrative that so many have heavily invested in as the truth. We all know the media sometimes prefers fantasy over fact.

Money trumps truth.

31. It was pretty obvious IMO that he was giving a 'line'

Children do make up fairy tales, especially when encouraged and rewarded (with attention and approval) by adults.

Good for him for admitting it; not so good for the parents (at any rate the father) and the media for taking advantage of a child's illness, and of his natural childish desire for adult attention and approval, to lead him on, and to mislead the public.

The real liars here are daddy and the media.
