Progressive people of faith: Hillary Clinton

Another in my series of progressive people of faith.

From the article:

This week I went back and listened to a recording of my 2007 interview with her, and I was struck by Clinton’s fluency in talking about everything from Thomas Aquinas to the tenets of Methodism. “I always resonated to the fact that it was both revelatory and Scripture-based but that you were invited to use your power of reason to think through your faith and to work through what it meant to you and how you would live it in your daily life,” she told me.

and I hope that you will enjoy the series. I feel it necessary to show how many progressives easily reconcile their faith with their progressive politics.

People on the right always put her down but she always got through it with her strength and her strong faith.

God bless her!

exclusively on the negative aspects of human behavior, and in this forum the preference of some few is to blame religion as being the main, or primary, cause of war and violence.

Generally I post both "good news" and "bad news" in an attempt to provide a balanced look about faith.

At one point, my "good news" format was also copied by a non-theist. But we all find inspiration from many places.
