Sunday is Easter. Here's an Easter poll:

Do you believe that Jesus was literally conceived of God, was crucified, and rose from the dead three days later, and appeared to people before ascending into Heaven?

Those things make up the core of Christian beliefs. I left out the Trinity, since not all Christians are Trinitarians.

Yes. I believe those things literally.

I believe them, but consider parts to be symbolic.

-not so much. Ethnically I am a Presbyterian and have alot of that in me. The miracle is in Jesus' love and how he shared that. I would say it was nature or ancestors too. And to whatever started the universe.

"A Pure White Light: The Daughter of God Speaks" Amazon books

"What is the Truth of the soul? This short book tells you in very simple terms what the Truth of life is and how we may live this truth. It is a book for people of all religions and none, for the God it speaks of is the Spirit of Love."

I have found such truth in this short book. Jesus never wanted to be worshiped as a God. He died because he never wanted earthly power ... "The king of the Jews" .... Jesus refused

But the creation of the Roman Catholic Church changed that message to be one of a Caesar.

I believe there was someone that was like the Jesus figure that the bible talks of, who more than likely was a teacher. Was he crucified, maybe maybe not. As for me, I don't believe it because I do not believe in the virgin birth. And if there was no virgin birth, he had no significance other than to be a pain because his teachings were different from others. I believe the bible has some historical value, but basically a piece of fiction.
