2. My mom & dad's first date was

going to a church service. They were married over 54 years when she was killed in a car crash. He was devastated and only lived another 18 months. I guess it worked for them even though they had their moments of discord occasionally.

3. we've only been in churches for marryings and buryings

and we hit #44 in a couple of weeks.

When I was a kid and hitting the pew every week as a Catholic I would look around and see all sorts of dysfunctional families around me. The hypocrisy is one of the many things that has kept us out of churches.

I spent half my childhood in church, and I don't go now unless there's some good reason. At least I know all the songs by heart when I go! LOL!

Oh, and I know when the trumpers are lying about scripture! That's the real plus.
