How many Evangelical Trump voters could accurately answer this question?

Which 2016 Presidential candidate has no religious convictions and which one is a lifelong Christian and member of the Methodist church?

4. +1

And their Clinton hatred? They're seen as "n***er lovers" - which for the radicalized right is the worst thing you can be.

Worse, apparently, than being a traitor - since they couldn't care less about that either.

A Baptist that learned how to read.

7. Same here.

I lived in Mississippi for several years, and they were always considered "suspicious" by Baptists, Presbyterians, and (the worst of all) the 'Church of Christ'-goers.

Their biggest gripe? Methodists were seen as supporters of civil rights - something that pretty much black-balled you in the Deep South.

10. This

I've heard on more than one occasion that Methodists znd other mainline protestants are not "real Christians," of course from evangelical types. In their eyes she might as well worship Satan.

6. It's all about abortion and judges.

Actual Christian principles are secondary or even irrelevant.

9. Of course, I'm just saying that I'll bet nobody on

Right wing media ever mentioned the religious background of either candidate.
When Ive asked Trumpers this question, they all got it wrong.

19. "Christian Principles"

... is well on its way to being an oxymoron on the political right.

11. They would reply that they supported the secular leader (President) who would more support their

issues. In 2012 they supported a candidate who was not a Christian but a religious leader in a different religion but who they saw as less hostile to Christianity, Evangelical leaders believe that Trump accepted Christ in 2016.

13. Even after his supposedly "being saved"

Trump publicly stated that he does not pray and has never asked for Gods forgiveness for anything.

16. I think your timetable may be off, but it doesn't change that Christians voted for who they felt

would best represent their issues as President, as they say, they aren't electing their Pastor, but a
head of the Executive branch of govt.

From the NYTs June 25, 2016

""I dont know when it was, but it has not been long, Dr. Dobson said. I believe he really made a commitment, but hes a baby Christian.
Mr. Anthony posted the interview to his blog on Friday. Dr. Dobson could not be reached on Saturday, and Hope Hicks, the Trump campaign spokeswoman, did not respond Saturday to a request for details.
Mr. Trump stumbled at times last year when speaking about faith. At one point he said that he had never asked for Gods forgiveness.""

17. My go-to statement to Trumpers:

Why is it that the same people who were convinced that Obama was a Muslim are now willing to believe that Trump was a Christian?
