Fucking outrageous! It's 2018! Even the pontiff has reportedly said:

“Juan Carlos, that you are gay does not matter. God made you like that and loves you like this and I don’t care. The Pope loves you like this. You have to be happy with who you are.”

and “If someone is gay and is looking for the Lord, who am I to judge him? You should not discriminate against or marginalise these people.”

A report from an ABC affiliate reveals that a campus minister for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland lost his job after he “liked” a friend’s post about their same-sex marriage.

Keith Kozak was a campus minister at Cleveland State University. He claims that “liking” the friend’s post, as well as a 2017 post at another friend’s same-sex wedding, triggered the termination.

“I really wasn’t even thinking about it at the time, that it would be anything detrimental,” Kozak told WEWS TV about the incident “[It] really feels discouraging that this is still happening.”

Kozak was questioned by his supervisor and a member of the Diocese’s human resources team about a week ago. While he initially assumed it might be about an expected promotion, the questioning quickly turned to his social media.

“They sat me down and they said we had seen some things on Facebook and Twitter and that would like to talk to you about that,” said Kozak. “The very next day, I received a letter that said I was terminated,” he added.

No matter that the Pope is making an attempt to at least look tolerant. The nit-picky brain of some moron in some diocese has no breadth of logic. So, a person gets fired for making a friendly gesture on social media.

Priests aren't fired. This guy was a "minister" which is basically just a lay person who takes on special duties.

They can be removed from their positions and have their rights as a priest revoked. Don’t know what you would call that other than Firing.

Catholics have alot of titles, but ministers are lay people and can be fired. Deacons, monks, priests, Pastors, monsignors, bishops, nuns, mother superiors, cardinals, are not fired. Certainly not for something like this. A deacon might find himself ultimately separated, but not by this process. Truth be known, all those people would know better in the first place. Discipline and obedience is taught VERY early in the process.

Take a look at the bolded part. What does it mean? I'll tell you: it is the official position regarding homosexuality in the RCC, namely that being gay isn't a sin in and of itself. But if you want to be in a loving relationship with someone, or *GASP* be physically intimate with someone you are attracted to, THAT'S a problem. The church will judge you six ways from Sunday if you do any of that. Remember, they've fired gay teachers from schools if they get married or someone learns they are living with a lover. And wonderpope Frank hasn't objected to ANY of that.
