Bishop Leonard Blair on "Fresh Air" today offers compromise to US nuns:

Bishop Blair offered the expected concessions to the US sisters: nun.

More proof that an olive branch makes an effective switch.

Have to admit he made compelling new arguments, like the novel idea that Jesus himself preferred male agents. Zinger.

with him was like talking to a 'gun nut' or an anti choice person...we are not going to find a middle ground.

--to visit is tomb when none of his homies did? Weren't they (Mom included) female agents that he preferred? (Just sayin')

Oh, and those male agents were also all Jewish. Shouldn't that mean that all agents of Jesus now need to be Jewish?

and I got a strange feeling that Terry Gross felt intimidated by him- I do not think that I have ever heard her interview someone in that way before.

Maybe I just was wishing that she would scream at him- maybe it is all projection on my part, but did anyone else think that she was awfully deferential to him?

6. Terry isn't physically very big. She wanted to smack him, but it wouldn't have worked out.

and her questions and comments seemed almost passive....perhaps she was just trying to allow him to dig the biggest grave for himself that she could.
