Religion
Related: About this forumOWS at the Rose Parade and religions role in it.
While National coverage seemed pretty intent on not showing the OWS at the Rose Parade, there are several stories circulating on teh internets about it. None of them even mention religion at all, except for one... a person who was live tweeting and he had this to say about religions presence at the OWS Rose Parade;
12:43 PM Militant Christians or followers of Fred Phelps are on hand to disrupt Occupy the Rose Parades effort to march at the end of the Rose Parade.

And thats it. I can find nothing else about religion playing a role in the OWS protest at the Parade. Anyone else hear anything?

PASADENA - Occupy demonstrations at the Rose Parade began Sunday with a forum on economic and social justice at All Saints Church.
The forum crystallized many of the frustrations felt by the so-called 99 percent.

Bacon's comments kicked off the Sunday forum, which was the first phase of a four-phase demonstration planned for the Rose Parade.

(146,218 posts)The Tournament of Roses Parade committee has authorized the protest which will occur after the floats have passed and local police sweep the route, but before the crowd is released from the bleacher seating. The city and the Rose Parade organizers have been fully supportive, said Daniel Niswander, who led an educational summit for the community on New Years Day at the progressive All Saints Church, another OTRP-sponsored event.
