Sensory Dreams.... Are they precognitive, even if not lucid...?

I have had some dream experiences lately that have really shook me to the core and I am trying to wrap my head around the significance.

Before I get into the content, let's just say these dreams happen about every 6 months or so for about the last year and a half. The first one was so striking that it shook me for about three days afterwards...and now since it has happened again, I am really interested in what my guides/angels/etc... are telling me.

I have had Lucid Dreams before and this was not that
... this was your average run of the mill regular dream but the sensory overload was enough to make me cry when i awoke. I could SMELL a certain person's skin, I could TASTE their lips...and this last one I woke up and could FEEL the actual texture of their hair in my fingers...
It's really bugging me that I can't DO anything on this physical plane to deal with this in person.... they are still alive, but lost to me, i don't know where they are.... but the feelings and senses were so acute, i wonder if it is some kind of 'sending' or psychic connection...?

anyone know what I mean?

but I don't know how to answer your question. I am ignorant of sending or dream interpretation.

Maybe you can look for the positive in this dream. You are having a memory or contact with a person who is otherwise lost to you. You have something of that person, instead of nothing. That could be a good thing.

I used to have vivid dreams of my ex almost every night. I had been through the same thing with another ex bf. In that case, I was able to locate him. As soon as we spoke, I had no more dreams. But with my ex dh; there were times when I woke up believing that we had gotten back together, because we always did, in my dreams.

I was working with a therapist during that time; and he was interested in my dreams. The only thing I could figure out, was that the part of myself that matched his qualities was missing. And I needed it back.

A couple of days ago I watched this video. At about the one minute mark she talks about losing her father. And how in losing him, she had lost part of herself. "The girl he knew and loved died with him", she says. That hit me as profound. Even though there's not a physical death, when we lose someone, we lose the part of ourselves that the person knows. For example, when my own dad died, I was left w/o his view of me. No one else knew me like he did. I just have memories.

So if I had the dreams you do, I would approach it the same way. I never did figure out what it was that I was missing. But over time the dreams changed. We were no longer getting back together because I no longer wanted to.

In whatever way that man viewed you, what he loved about you, may be lost. You can find it

i know you recall a recent conversation about feeling like I had been hit by a "melon-baller" in many respects... I also know that these pieces that I am reclaiming are part of this too...

and yet there is still that romantic girl inside that also wonders and wishes and thinks what could have been....and that brings tears to my eyes. When i think about dating these days, I am struck by how hard it is to MEET people, first of all....and then to have someone even try to understand WHO I am or care seems to be so far flung...because so many people are SOOOO shallow and so many men tend to objectify us... No WONDER I long for someone who already knows me and loves my quirks and can read my moods... because those things don't change all that much in a personality, and I like my personality...but i feel somehow it is obscured when dealing with a 'new' person, because they tend to see your baggage first and hear your story from a different place, more detached....so you don;t want to share your story, because it doesn't define you. But then what DOES?

im rambling, just figgering it out in my own head i guess... thanks for your loving input as always!

it's my HS sweetheart.... a guy i dated for 4+ years off & on from jr year till 21...then i got married and had a kid and got left and he was the first one to see me after i had the baby. But we lived hours away, and our LIVES were different...he a city boy and me a country girl...so while we'd see each other every few years or so, we could never do more than that. Last time we spoke, it was about 5 yrs ago, I was in the bay area with my daughter for hospital stuff, we were on my cell, he told me he was getting married to a gal with a kid...we said we'd talk again soon... and that was that. I've left messages at his mom's over the years....no luck.... so i guess i should let it go... but, well, you know...

6. two possibilities, from what I see

First one is based on the belief that sometimes when we want something so bad, our unconscious or our dream will give it to us.

I'm going to use an example, but it's a poor example because it deals with an unsavory topic and yours is a rather sweet and delicate need, however, I'll go ahead and relate it.

I used to facilitate smoking cessation courses for the American Lung Association. I would take a group of people through a six-eight week process of quitting. A week or so after quitting, participants in the process would come to the meetings and tell about their dreams of smoking. They were puzzled by this, as they genuinely did want to quit smoking but their body was still addicted to the nicotine and their subconscious may have had other thoughts about their quitting. Thus the dream.

So one thought is that you really want this experience with this person and your dream is giving it to you.

Another possibility is this: that you are sensing an actual experience you are having with this person in another dimension.

Some theories of the multiverse go like this: there is no time and we are experiencing everything at once. However, because with our limited sensory experience as we are here on this earth, we cannot handle seeing it happen all at once. However, on occasions, it does come through our experience.

I heard a guest on C2C discussing this once and she told about how she'd learn to skip from dimension to dimension and see what was going on in each scenario. She did mention how she did it within the context of a male-female relationship.

So perhaps in another dimension you are with this person and your dream is letting you see that.

since the dreams come unwarranted after I have forgotten the previous one...

also, had several "signs" show up yesterday that blew my mind... my water bottle spilled on my tape cassettes, so as I pulled them all out and threw them on the seat to dry, here's my old George Michael tape which has about 3 of our 'songs' on it... so i put the tape in while waiting for my friend at the store, and right there, in the rearview mirror is an old toyota van *just* like he had in High school... I stopped the tape, breathed, shook it off as 'conicedence,' turned the music back on....and 1 minute later it happened again, this time the van went right in front of me.... :zoinks:

I guess I'll have to just wait and see what else shows up... and if i ever DO happen to find his phone number, I AM calling!
