So, nothing migrated over as far as our posts?

(No, I haven't been following closely enough to really understand how this works...lol)

I know they're leaving DU2 up for a while, I assume so we can access posts, bookmarks, messages, etc. and save them however we can. If anyone has any tips as to how to do that most expeditiously, I'd appreciate it. If it's purely copy and paste....oy vey....

But does this mean a new holiday marketplace thread should be started here, for example....and prayer thread, and visioning thread?

???

But will not carry over. So it would be a great idea to start the new threads.

I haven't even looked yet to see if our buddy lists and bookmarks migrated over here to DU3.

I'm pretty sure bookmarks didn't migrate; that's what I dread copying and pasting and hope someone comes up with a miraculous alternative to saving those.

I had DU bookmarked, so it takes me to the old DU, but that's a great question as to how to otherwise get back to it.

Here's a link that got me there:

You know how stuff lives on the Internet in cache or whatnot seemingly forever?

So long as I have a link to my bookmarks page, I wonder if that will always be available; or at least available for a long time?

I don't understand changeovers well.

But I don't think they archive everything. Just a screencap of whichever day they choose.

I hope that maybe we can pin a few threads and add links to great resources that have been posted before. It would be easy then to download a few webpages to keep a master list of references, in case anything ever goes amiss here with the software.

But that doesn't address all the great discussions that have taken place in this group.

Is there a tantrum emoticon?

Maybe I'll like the new place after a week or so but it's so annoying to not be able to find things.

I really don't like change.

i was thinking about that tonight...that we have to re-start our monthly threads all over again!
gah, like a merc retro isn't hard enough...

I asked in the help forum about an easy way to save our stuff...no replies yet. I ahte the idea of having to sift through and copy/paste everything...

we WILL survive this!
