Card of the Day: The Fool

Here is a youth gently stepping off a cliff while a dog barks at his heals. He possesses a purse that is attached at the end of a staff, slung over his right shoulder while holding a white rose in his left hand. He is looking up at the heavens and not where he is about to step in to.

The staff, or wand, as this deck likes to call them, is the young person's will. On the end of the staff is a purse which contains his riches, the knowledge, wisdom, karma, and memories; all of which are slung over his back as he walks away from them, yet still carries them with him. He is delicately hold the white rose, a symbol that he is free from the baser desires, but could drop it at any moment.

This is a card of taking that first step. Letting go. The start of a journey. Making a choice in life, one that will affect the rest of that life.

Okay people, I know that there is much more to see in this card so please let me know: What do you see?

Why is it there? Is it playing and frolicking, or is it warning him? What will it do when he takes his step off the cliff?

Indeed, the dog does look like it's playing and frolicking. Why is the dog white? Why does the youth have his back to the sun? Why is the sun even in the card unless it means something?

What do the snow-capped mountain peaks in the background mean?
The Fool is on a rocky ledge that appears to be elevated. There must be a valley between himself and the mountain peaks. What does that mean?

so the picture details don't mean as much to me...but when that card turns up in a reading, it usually means that the person is either feeling alone in a situation or is about to go off on their own, as in a relationship breakup, or is about to start a risky new adventure, like a move into a strange place or starting a new business...it depends on the rest of the reading...
