Vedic Astrologer Edith Hathaway's election analysis

Interesting stuff:

http://edithhathaway.com/election-2016-update-jan-28-2016/

Long article worth the read. Here's a snip:

Rahu and Ketu represent change and the unexpected, and in Vedic mythology they are known by the mystical symbol of the serpent. A full nodal cycle lasts 18 years, in which Rahu and Ketu shift signs backwards in the zodiac every 18 months. Since eclipses usually occur in the signs where they are transiting, the nodes have an enormous impact on certain areas of life while they are in those signs and houses in the astrological chart, both for individuals and the collective.

Leo and Aquarius are fixed signs, and as a fire sign representing the Kshatriya (warrior) class, Leo also includes political leaders. Leo is the most royal of the three fire signs. Ruled by the Sun, Leo expresses leadership on so many levels that when Rahu (the foreigner, or the exotic one) enters the sign for 18 months, there may be sudden changes in royalty of various kinds, including political royalty; also, in how we view leadership, as whatever may have been unacceptable or quixotic in some way in the past is coming into prominence and finding greater acceptance.

Rahu and Ketu signify not only the foreigner but the outcast. By contrast, Jupiter is more traditional and conventional. So when Rahu conjoins Jupiter in an area of the zodiac related to both leadership and royalty, this indicates a changing of the guard that upsets previously held concepts, including by journalists (also Jupiter), especially establishment journalists. We see this in various ways, with the new importance of burgeoning social media in election politics, and with Donald Trumpís defiance of Fox News in the last week of Jan. 2016. Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch founded Fox News (i.e. GOP news) in Oct. 1996, and up until now it has ruled over Republican politics with an iron hand, including over the George W. Bush presidency, 2001-2009.

Tr. Jupiter remains in Leo through Aug. 12, 2016, conjoining Rahu in Leo for seven months. This covers the many U.S. presidential primary races from Feb. 1 to June 14, 2016 as well as the Republican and Democratic Party conventions, July 18-21 and July 25-28, 2016, respectively.

1. looking forward to reading more tonight

so many other forecasts (using various means) look to an upset in the status quo. I certainly hope so, as I do not believe we can go on like we have.

Thanks for posting, Matariki.

and problems she's likely to face during the period between Feb 20, 2016 & mid-September

5. Maybe.

I'd like to see that someday soon. The article I posted predicts a problem for 'royalty' which in our non-monarchy the astrologer is reading as dynastic families. She predicted correctly re Jeb dropping out.

6. oh, yay!

Then maybe that applies to Hillary, too?

In regard to your question above, over the past few years I have heard many predictions and they all say that 2016 is the turning point. Things will no longer be the same for us in the U.S., but across the world. It is especially troubling for Europe, as this is also said to be the last year it will operate as it has. In their case, it is going to be Muslim influence that changes the status quo.

To tell you the others that have predicted this, I would have to go back through my sources to refresh my mind, which I actually would not mind doing. I will post back "piecemeal," as I don't have much time in one segment. I have a little time here, a little there, though.

8. I don't know about that.

...how we view leadership, as whatever may have been unacceptable or quixotic in some way in the past is coming into prominence and finding greater acceptance.

Sounds like something more significant than just a place on a political spectrum.

Royalty? Dynasty? Hillary wasn't born a Clinton, you know. Not like a Bush.

There is a lot of 'wiggle room' in the stars! I predict a bit of wiggling very soon.

10. You are right about the wiggle room

Every astologer has their biases that they interpret things though.

You might be glad to know that other, equally good, vedic astrologers think Clinton will win. By a small margin, but win. I'll try to find a link.

12. Here's another

Seems that he got the caucuses and primaries right, unless he's retroactively posting. I haven't been following the blog, just found it yesterday. It favors Clinton as the winner. Sander's birthtime isn't known for sure and it's especially important in Vedic astrology. Hathaway made a compelling argument for her rectified chart that makes him a (sidereal) Gemini and not Scorpio rising.

13. The part I find most interesting

is that she says the chart of her announcement shows she doesn't attain her goal.

Has anyone that anyone here knows of, done a similar chart for Bernie's announcement?

15. Wasn't there also a "birth chart" for the GOP in this forum, showing the "end of life"

...for the Grotesque Old Party actually coming... soonish?

I've been thinking about that post a lot, lately....
