Holy Cow! I couldn't get to sleep last night, kept feeling like "something" was about to happen

and then about 11, ***BOOM*** o.O

I thought a neighbor's house had exploded or something. My house shook & windows rattled. I went outside & everyone was in the street, sirens going off & emergency vehicles flying (there's a fire station 1 block from my house). No one could get 911 to respond. We saw a plume of smoke several blocks away & all wondered what it was that went up because it sounded as if it had gone off in our back yards!!

Here's a preliminary report:

Was this what was keeping me from getting to sleep?

Way to pick up on the energies, W.

Hope everything's okay there. We had an ill-placed propane BUSINESS (right in the middle of the village that abuts ours, on the main road) explode last fall. To the two local fire departments' credit, they were more than prepared for this, as the business had been there for several decades at least, so only one person was hurt and there wasn't too much property damage to the houses nearby (and that was something, what with tanks FLYING ACROSS THE STREET from the blast ). Anyway, my point is that propane is nothing to mess with, that's for sure.

There was a double fire alarm yesterday morning around here but we didn't turn on the scanner. Now, on the way to dropping my son off at school, I saw a nearby house, again on the main road, roped off with police tape. No idea what happened; it doesn't look like there was a fire or anything. Our paper is only a weekly, so that's useless. Nothing online about it either. Hm.
