So Mercury is retrograde, in Scorpio
Interesting article:
https://www.allure.com/story/2020-mercury-retrograde-scorpio snip Beware of paranoid thinking when Mercury goes retrograde in intense Scorpio. Life, in general, is painful right now, and it makes sense that you — and those around you — may be hyperaware of your surroundings. This particular retrograde may make us a bit extra suspicious, even of those we deeply trust. However, now is not the time to turn against friends and loved ones unnecessarily. We need all the community we can get. Work on a self-care and mindfulness practice (meditation is a great place to start) to help stay grounded. Scorpio is the detective of the zodiac, so this Mercury retrograde could reveal skeletons in some closets. For example, if you or your partner has been unfaithful this year, that may come out. During this retrograde, we will see people for exactly who they are, and sometimes this can be deeply upsetting. But it also means that loyalties will be revealed and you can offer people around you the ability to do better by you, should you be willing to give second chances. We can expect the usual technological mishaps, such as texts sent to the wrong people or the internet cutting out when you need it most. This isn't the time to panic — just try and double-check everything before hitting send, and build extra time into your schedule when traveling and relying on technology. When it comes to romance, an ex or two may attempt to come back into your life. Exes are not always evil and it's your choice how to respond. An opportunity for closure may arise, or perhaps you'll realize you're in a place where you can even be friends. When in doubt, consult your trusted friends and therapist, if you have one. You likely didn't need the stars to tell you that these last few weeks before the election are going to be a wild ride — but the fact that the last day of this Mercury retrograde falls on Election Day certainly feels like it makes sense. The weeks leading up to it have already been very messy, but when Mercury retrograde comes into play there will be the added possibility of delayed results, technological issues, and uncounted votes. No matter what happens, it's crucial to keep an optimistic outlook. One could view the final day of a retrograde occurring on Election Day as a sign that it's the end of an era and true to Scorpio, the start of something much better. So as long as you try not to stress, practice self-care, and beware of paranoia, you should kick this retrograde's ass. (I am not an astrologer - just thought this was quite interesting, as the retrograde ends on lection day. Hoping for an abrupt end to the dystopian nightmare we have been living for the past 4 years.) I hope this is helpful info. ![]() PS - Yale is offering their very popular "Science of Well Being" online course free. This is very good stuff and the first video is available immediately upon sign up. Friends who have tried it said they felt better after viewing the first segment. Could help to ward off the Scorpio paranoia mentioned above. https://www.coursera.org/learn/the-science-of-well-being

1. I don't love Mercury stationing on Election Day, just like in 2000
Would love a clear and clean finish, but doesn’t seem to be in the stars. But here’s hoping!

2. Oh, gawd...
I didn't reaalize that happened in 2000!
We also have: Uranus Mars Chiron True node And Neptune All rx. Interestingly, Mars & Chiron are rx in Aries. Sounds like daddy-damaged angry toddler being aggressive, doesn't it? |

3. Perhaps this is a...
long awaited correction. A look at where the other planets etc, are and what they are doing during this time period. As a severe Scorpio*, I get the sense that election day will be the lull moment before a major shift. There's a lot going on right now.
*A life sentence which requires agility and resourcefulness to survive. I know thus from decades of experience. |

Donald Trump Astrology in October 2020
How October 2020 Brings Donald Trump Down “As the leader of the United States of America, Donald Trump’s fate is the nation’s fate. It’s also the world’s fate. The planet is in a climate emergency (according to 11,000 scientists and counting) and Donald is in control of that. Perhaps because Trump’s rulership is a global concern, I continue to see questions and messages about him, on this website and on Twitter, more than any other politician. Now – I would not expect you to just accept my astrology predictions without some clear proof they work. Here it is. October 2020 is going to bring Donald down.” https://www.jessicaadams.com/2020/01/ |

12. Oh, I am confident that this is correct.
Recall that Scorpio represents metamorphosis; death/rebirth. It is what we are experiencing now, and it's painful... but the great pain will come around to great gain at the end of the cycle, however long that cycle may be. There can and are more than one cycle in action simultaneously.

Whatever was in the works before retro began shouldn't be affected. And early voting had been planned and set up before today.

10. Good advice.
Even with the new moon on Friday, it's good to avoid signing things and buy electronics and such. Also a good time to heighten your skepticism a bit since crazy is all over the place for now. It also means to double check things that you would normally have strong confidence about.
I think there will be the greatest turnout for the election in our lifetimes and though it will be clear that Biden takes it, it could be that the loser tries to challenge and demands that all ballots be counted which only reinforces the loss, and I suspect it will be right around Nov. 10th. I am really glad that people are responding to the challenges so far. |

14. Cool!
I met him back in the early 80s when he was getting started. Did a big reading which helped me a lot. You can learn a lot just by reading the calendar and watching how things happen. Most of what I know was learned through the calendar. Knowing what your natal chart looks like is key. If you compare your chart positions to current placements, you can learn to navigate your world better.

19. The thing about Bush v Gore: Mercury WENT Rx at 9:00 pm est when fox called it for bush.
Almost at the exact second that Mercury went Rx was when fox called it for bush in 2000, which is what started the entire mess.
This time, Mercury goes DIRECT at noon on election day. It's like everybody starts moving in the right direction, and looking forward, this time. Lots of the same issues come into play about uncertainty and confusion (whether natural or man-made) with Mercury, but this time, we end up going in the right direction (forward) as of noon on election day, instead of going backwards (Rx) at 9:00 pm on election day. It's not a strong forward motion quite yet, but it's forward motion, toward clarity. |

21. My nerves are shot
Don’t know if it’s mercury retrograde or election or combo! My house furnace went out, my car heater broke and we’re in a freezing cold snap. They gave me a new car loaner that the dash looks like a cockpit of a 737 and threw me over the edge. Ahhhhh.

22. Sorry to hear.
Imo, its a combo effect. We all have a stress threshold and with all you have going on, it sounds like you have hit yours.
Pfffft - new cars. Without physical keys & drive by wire throttle, steering & brakes... I've rented more than a few & every single one was a nightmare. One locked a passenger inside with no way to get out while I was in a store! It reached 152F inside! Why would they physically connect the door locking mechanism to a physical lock? ![]() Have you tried to free Yale course referenced in original post? People who have tried ut said they felt better after the 1st video, which is available immediately. I sure hope you get your furnace & car working soon! ![]() |
