not unexpected, I guess -- as ultimately, it's not for any of us, I suppose.

But dammit.

I knew her by her real name, not Tucker. I just asked my roommate about the two and she just confirmed that it was indeed my friend. When I first met AlienGirl she point blank told me, "I'm from another planet and I have three boobs! You want to see them?" Yeah, AG was a little bit crazy and I loved her for that. One of our friends who is a deacon at the UU church is going to hold a memorial service for her next week. We all love and miss her.

I hoped upon hope she would beat the enemy, but it caught up with her.

She brought a great deal of energy to the world, and fought very, very hard and I hope she is at peace and resting after all she went through.

I hope her family and friends can comfort each other with their memories of Tucker.

(Did we ever get a memorial page here on DU? I hope so, but AlienGirl will be remembered anyway)

Morning has risen;
God, take away from us every pain,
every ill, every mishap;
God, let us come safely home.

- An African Pygmy Women's Prayer -

God bless you, AlienGirl, For all we really knew, you may have indeed been from another planet, now you live in another universe. I'm sure that the Creator welcomed you home with open arms.
