Russia’s Arab Spring
Over the weekend, some 100,000 protesters held anti-government rallies in Moscow to denounce electoral fraud and demand an end to Vladimir Putin’s rule. Surprisingly, police were cooperative even though the legal limit for such rallies is 30,000. As in similar rallies in the United States, Europe and the Middle East, the protests were largely leaderless but coming together over common cause via social media.
Russia’s horoscope (June 12, 1990; 1:45 pm; Moscow) indicates that their “Arab Spring” is just around the corner.
