In the last three weeks, my beekeeping friend has gone out to home 5 swarming hives. She teaches beekeeping and helps people by getting the hive (unity) into a new home

thank you for pointing us to this!

Banzai, I saw Queen of the Sun last February or so. Loved it.

I'll never raise bees, but I do my best to feed them so I always have bumblebees around in the summer.

The Fifth Sacred Thing, by Starhawk? An excellent story about life in a future time in SF living in harmony with nature. In it there are these women who work with the bees in a very magical way. They mind meld with them and learn things--which is only one feature of the book

Very powerful book. I LOVE Starhawk!

She is working on getting the book made into a movie. If you check her blog, there is a link to the web site for people who are interested, or who want to help with the project. They already have some beautiful art created. Check it out, and stay tuned.

I will be very interested to see how they handle the parts of the story with the bees.
