Considering going to Mass tomorrow,

Instead of the Methodist church I have been attending for over a year now. I was never really one for the "smells and bells", as they say; but I do miss the Mass and the Eucharist (I will probably elect not receive, though, since I have not been to Confession yet). The solemnity of the Mass is what is really missing in a Methodist service, IMO. What do you think? What are the reasons you go to Mass?

The Gospel today was about Caesar's coin.

The priest compared the trap the Pharisees and Herodians were setting with their question to internet arguments.

That's one reason I go. He's pretty sharp. I don'r receive but I go for the Consecration. Somehow, a service without a sacrament feels like a PBS lecture to me.

But it was one of those old, gloomy churches with lousy acoustics; it was hard to hear the homily. But the priest basically talked about what's valuable and what is not. He seems a friendly, decent sort.

Sometimes if it's boring I try to remember the same Mass was said that day in a hut far away.
