Did anyone catch that Torah reading about 10 minutes into the national prayer service?

After the Hebrew reading, the rabbi said just one line in English, appearing to look directly at tRump: "There has never been anyone like you before, nor will anyone like you rise again."

If that was intended, as it sounded, as laudatory, that's just grotesque. And I doubt that he'd have said something tongue in cheek at a service like this.

It seemed to be praising him, though... would've been too brazen if he meant it as a putdown. JudyM Jan 2017 #4

There were Friday night services yesterday that promoted today's marches, and sermons that spoke directly to the dark times ahead, and the risk to the most vulnerable. Those sermons were NOT laudatory.

God said it to Solomon in a dream.

It probably ended the reading which told the story of him asking God for understanding and wisdom.

Eta - so I guess the point of the reading was to encourage Trump to embrace justice and seek understanding and make wise decisions. Also that he's no Solomon so don't pretend, God said their would never be another leader with that level of wisdom.
