Neil deGrasse Tyson is a noted buzzkill who deflates everybody’s fun just by knowing stuff about the Sciences.

We'll, I'm glad he pointed it out. Only Oscar I ever thought worth watching was this one, anyway:

This same troll goes on the Daily Show and calls out Jon Stewart because the earth spins backwards in their intro. Neil deGrasse (could the use of a middlename be any more revealing) Tyson, Space Nazi. First it's the earth, the moon, next thing you know he's telling you you've mistakenly spent your entire life in a counter-clockwise solar system where everything functions in the opposite way it should. Oh wait...

We need him to remind everyone that science is real, every day.

I don't think the "space nazi" and "buzzkill" references here are sincere. At least I hope not. Tyson is such an affable guy that he seems to do this in an attempt to say, "Hey, look how annoying I can be with a little attention to scientific detail."

When he pointed out The Daily Show's problem with the revolving globe, Stewart responded with a deliberately bargain-basement, super-cheap opening graphic the next time Tyson was on. Beautiful!

But he also had no problem pointing out the globe of The Daily Show was spinning in the wrong direction. He's a stickler for the details, but who can blame the guy?

I also like his Star Talk podcast. Good stuff coming from NdGT. Just realized I left out a letter last time.

He makes astrophysics sexy…..him and to a lesser degree, the Asian guy whose name I always forget. But Neil is also my 11-year-old grandson's idol, and he could certainly do worse!
