I was lucky in my life to see an Appolo launch at night across the mosequto lagoon...... it blew me away to see the most powerful rocket ever made go off.
You could see the sound wave travel across the lagoon and then hit you. as the whole night became light.
I've seen many shuttles go up and that rocket was nothing compared to the power of the Saturn V

of course there were no smog controls. Yet, what did you want for early models? Still to this day, want to go to the moon, this is what it takes...
