Researchers present computer-method to fake faces on video in real-time.

Let's say, you have a video-conference. The researchers can replace the face of of the person you think you are talking to with artificial facial expressions created by an actor (and read by facial-recognition software). In real-time.

At the very end of the video there's a very brief example how an artificial face is controlled in real-time by an actor. (The example isn't very convincing, as they mix the face of a woman with the face of a bearded guy, but if it were two faces that are already pretty similar...)

Of course, there's still work to be done: Both faces have to be scanned beforehand and the voice doesn't get faked yet.

Yet.
