Juno's first pictures from Jupiter orbit

NASA has released the first photographs transmitted by Juno from orbit around Jupiter:

This is such an exciting science expedition! This spacecraft is going to provide so much information about Jupiter and the origins of our Solar System that I suspect scientists will be studying the data for years to come.

(ON EDIT) I'm one of the people who thinks NASA is worth 10 times what we pay for it...If Goldman Sucks or Citi had taken those pictures, they would charge us an obscene amount of money to see those images.

If we were going to be smart about it, that is. NASA is the most profitable investment we could make other than perhaps science education.

A few less massive military investments, a reasonable tax schedule for the hoarding class -- and we could really change the game.

NASA should be a crown jewel of the USA.

I don't have time today but perhaps we can continue this thread another time, Volaris.

Its not like they are taking photos of their houses, boats, airplanes or stacks of bonus money they got from the bailouts.
