Watch the U.S. space station as it passes over your area by signing up.

I just heard it as a public service announcement by Brian whatshisface on msnbc and did it immediately so I wouldn't forget.

Here's the address:

If you get a chance I highly recommend checking it out. I havent looked at the link yet, but make sure you start looking early, it only lasts 2-3 minutes. Depending on your light pollution it looks a little like a giant airliner, but it's moving fast

Bookmarking to check later, thanks for posting this!

Love it. Saw it back in 2010, while up in NY, at my family home place. My brother, had the alert on his phone, and we watched as it came into view and moved steadily out of sight. It was spellbinding.

I forgot to grab my jacket on the way outside. It was 45 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside. I had jeans and a summer weight t-shirt on. I didn't even notice the crisp November air.

They send a brief text message with starting and ending times, starting and ending compass directions, and how high in the sky it will be. Generally about 12 hours before the actual event.

It's based on the location you provide when you sign up but note it doesn't take into account weather.

I had to email them because the online version didn't work, but they were responsive and quick.
