(26,284 posts)claims until they can be proven to work but explaining why (in simply terms for morons like myself) would be helpful.

...by going to Google Scholar and typing four words, "microwave" "irradiation" "hydrogen" and "generation."
You will get 134,000 hits in less than a second.
Over the years, roughly 30 of them, since I regularly read scientific journals relating to energy and the environment, I must have come across thousands upon thousands of papers indicating this subject in the title.
I made my declaration on inspection. I very much doubt that I'll be proved wrong, since none of the thousands of papers I have come across have resulted in a major industrial change to the way we try, in Sisyphean enthusiasms, endlessly, to make our cars "green."
Every scheme, by virtue of the second law of thermodynamics, that makes hydrogen, wastes energy, and every system for generating electricity does so as well. Put the two together and you have an even worse thermodynamic nightmare, not that proposals for thermodynamic nightmares, hydrogen being only one, ever wane in popularity.

(32,674 posts)We need to get back to work on industrial hemp. The Federal Gov. has screwed it up with terrible rules on the small amounts of THC in hemp and not helping with processing plants.
Hydrogen can save the internal combustion engine. That engine can co-exist with electric cars.
