(11,686 posts)The last time I saw Monarchs was 3 years ago flying around my back yard for a couple of minutes. I was surprised to see them.

(2,215 posts)Watching this! Ive been raising monarchs in the summer for a few years. The beautiful Monarchs Im releasing now are the migration generation and it is my fondest wish for them that they make it to that wonderful spot in Mexico. And what the narrator said is absolutely right-plant native milkweed and wildflowers! Its an easy and very helpful thing to do!!!

(130,864 posts)I've seen a couple near my house recently, my neighbors raise insect-friendly plants. Will think of you raising and releasing them.
There's an osprey nest adjacent to my house, and they may have just headed south too, including 2 juveniles who were hatched here a few months ago.
