4,000-year-old burnt human remains have been found on a farm in Cornwall in what is believed to be evidence of an unknown ritual.

The discovery was made as an archaeologist and a team of volunteers investigated a Bronze Age burial mound.

The 'miracle' study also discovered evidence of 'unaccountable activity' from the medieval period on the same site.

Local farmers had told the research team there was little chance of discovering anything on the site due to years of ploughing and farm use.
