2. I always believed that there was more "going on" in the ancient world than we currently believe

Thanks for posting this. I don't buy the whole ancient lasers and levitation stuff, but I think we thoroughly discount the ingenuity and abilities of our ancient civilizations.

We think the folks from 40 or 50 thousand years ago were dumber than we are because they didn't have cell phones but the truth is there were people with IQ's over 130 then.
