And my colleague Laura Conaway flagged one of the most unusual This Week in God stories in recent memory: A New Jersey man cannot collect damages for burns he suffered while bowing his head in prayer over a sizzling steak fajita skillet at Applebees, a state appeals panel ruled today. Yeah, go ahead and read that sentence again.

How far down do you have to bow your head, and how long do you leave it bowed when you start to feel too much heat, before god will listen to your prayer?

God didn't provide the food for you, idiot. You paid for it. The cook cooked it. The waiter brought it. WTF does God have to do with that anyway? God certainly didn't give a shit about your stupid face.
I have less and less patience with this insanity as I get older.
